we're going to start our very last Mass this week on coins and their value some of you already may know about so I have grab some real coins we're going to talk about them and their value so here I have made the only one copper color is worth $0.01 so you can see them I have now a dime this is interesting because I've done is actually smaller than it so you think that it would be worth less than that would have made sense if they made coins like that but a dime actually is worth turn steps so now here's the really interesting thing here is what we is worth $0.05 right is actually figure than a diamond sticker to on the side yeah dime is worth $0.10 nickel is worth $0.05 just things you have to memorize in your head and then airplane here called a quarter any quarter is worth 25 sets yeah $0.25 so this is a common coins there is a 50 cent coin which I don't have one on me right now Barely Used also a $1 coin and different kinds of one dollar coin is worth one we count them by 1 so I'm going to see how many pennies I have here 1/2 3 okay pennies equal right so 1 9 and 10 pennies are both worth $0.10 that's because you're so two nickels are with $0.10 10 pennies worth $0.10 and one dime is worth 20 $0.30 right now I'm holding $0.30 and then we have the court no quarters of the harder ones to count because you're counting by 25 but some of you can just memorize this so the first 1/4 is 25 50 75 and 4 quarters are a doll the four quarters are $1 25 60-75 $1 for quarters are worth 1 Let's talk about 100 pennies 100 pennies is worth $1 so we would need 100 pennies do you have $1 write think about that this is one each 100 cents is $1 basically $1 or 100 steps this is 100% quarters I don't have as many nickels and see how many nickels we would need to make $1 by 10 15 20 35 40 45 50 I'm just going to tell you so I'm going to tell you 10 more nickels 20 would make $1 even have to know this but I'm kind of trying to help you so 20 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 60 65 70 95100 or $1 so I put $1 physically 20 9100 or $1 so 10 is worth $1 okay $1 all right bookmark in a first we have a couple pages that I didn't do yet that has to do with time they're pretty easy so we're going to finish those up first and then we'll go on to the queen cakes so the first page we're going to do and honestly there are some children doing something and the question is which takes so we're wondering which takes more longer difficulty it would take me much longer to eat a plate of spaghetti then it would to drink down a glass of water right so I'm going to start eating a plate of spaghetti trash and put it in the trash can and we also have him breaking at least which chore do you think it would take them longer to do in Trash Away outside or would it take them longer to get a rate and erase apps the whole lawn with all the leaves that fell from the tree yeah it would definitely take longer to rake up all the leaves so you should Circle Turn the Page turn on the other time hey they're asking what takes less time which takes less time to start washing a pile of dishes 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 dishes to wash a pilot would it would it be quicker to a pile of dishes or would it be quicker to just coffee mug it would be much quicker in a dishwasher the one coffee mugs is it quicker to just is it quicker to button up a button-up jacket which is quicker is it the zipper is quicker it takes the last time I used to circle the girl has a doing you are simple simply to its value so here we have a penny identify and a quarter in over here five cents $0.25 1% $0.10 to the ones you remember the value of from the beginning if you don't remember the volume and I'm going to go get answers when I'm done go ahead and work on it okay Sasha the answers if you didn't give him some of them just fill them in now so a penny is worth $0.01 you should drive to the one cent a nickel is worth inside a quarter is worth $0.25 so you should drive a quarter to the $0.25 I hope you learned a lot take some time out to get some coins out and see if you can count them with an adult's help okay enjoy I'll see you later
