Rainy Day Policy

  • The back gate will not be open in the morning or in the afternoon on days when it is raining.

 

  • Drop-off (8:15-8:30) and Pick-up will take place only in the front of the school-the MPR will be used to help keep students dry in the afternoon

 
  • During pick-up, once you've picked up your lower grade student(s), please be sure to exit the parking lot.  If you have older children with later dismissal times please reenter the pick-up line.
  • At pick-up in the front of the school, no cars should line up earlier than 10 minutes before their student's dismissal time.  1st & 2nd grade may enter the pick-up line after 2:25.  3rd, 4th and 5th grade may enter the pick-up line after 2:50. This will help ensure all students may be picked up in a timely manner.
 

  • Please drive slowly and be careful not to back up or turn around in the neighbor’s driveway

 

  • Recess will take place in the classroom on rainy days

 

  • Students will eat in the MPR and then return to class for indoor recess.

 

  • PE classes will meet in the MPR or in classrooms if it is a rainy day
