The students in room 14 have earned their first marble party! Tomorrow, Friday 12/7, the students have chosen to have a "device and fort party" at the end of the day. Student may bring the following to school tomorrow:

Please be sure that anything brought to school is in a backpack or bag with the student's name printed.

Chapter 3 (part 1) Test is Friday 11/9! The test will cover multi-digit multiplication and division

 

Part 2- word problems using multiplication and division will take place on Thursday 11/15!

We are working on solving problems with bar models. To learn more and review, check out the videos on bar modeling linked in the math tab! :)

Scholastic Book Clubs orders are due this FRIDAY 10/26 You can place your orders online at scholastic.com/bookclubs using our class activation code: NG38P --or you may bring in the order with a check made out to "Scholastic Book Club."

We will have a comprehension test on Chapters 1-5 on Tuesday 10/23

This will be an open book test- student my use their IBD reading book.

 

On Wednesday 10/24, students will take the vocabulary quiz for chapters 1-5. Students have been working to develop the understanding words from these chapters by creating vocabulary cards. Room 14 students are encouraged to study these card to review! 

Mystery book projects are due tomorrow in class! Students should have been working on these for over the last month. Please double check your work by looking at the directions provided with the assignment (this is located on the reading tab of this site). 

 

We will be sharing these in class by holding a gallery walk.

This Friday 10/5, will be our Chapter 2  math test. The test will cover lessons 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4. 

Students are bringing home their chapter 1 math assessment today. I am so proud of their hard work in this first chapter! 

 

After looking over this math test with your child, please sign and return it at your earliest convenience. Students have the option to rework problems they may have missed on the test. Those who make corrections may receive ½ credit for each problem they rework.
