Parent Education: Math grades 3-5 with Mrs. Thom and Mrs. Mairs in the MPR

Montemalaga is very fortunate to offer Parent Education evening sessions in the area of Mathematics. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 and their parents are invited to attend all or some of the following meetings on September 29, October 19, November 16, and December 14. Each session will begin at 4:30 in the MPR and will conclude by 5:45. Mrs. Bev Mairs and Mrs. Phyllis Thom are retired PVPUSD Math teachers. They work with the Palos Verdes Intermediate School's Math Club and are instrumental in planning both the Elementary and Intermediate Math Field Days in the late fall.

Each of the four sessions will have a different topic of mathematics. The focus will be to have parents and students develop the skills to be successful in problem solving during math class.
