SOAR A: Act Responsibly As we all work hard to stay healthy during the flu season, remember to be responsible by doing the following:
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water to the Happy Birthday song for 20 seconds-
Keep your hands away from your face
Cover your cough with a tissue, if you don’t have a tissue cough into your elbow
Stay home if you are sick
Character Trait: Gratitude- Remember that when words are both true and kind, they can change the world-Thoughtfulness and being grateful are important actions for us to experience every day.

The Kindness Cart is awarded to: Kindergarten K-1 Mrs. Duncan’s class for doing such an outstanding job with recycling collection for our school- Way to go Kindergarten!
Thank you for a fun-filled Science Night- All of the classrooms had amazing experiments and science projects- The PTA also made sure that we had so many special visitors that evening-We appreciate all of our great teachers and parents and their countless hours of planning, support, and dedication!
Thank you for working with the school and the district regarding the information about the Coronavirus. We are working daily with the district to make sure that our students are in a safe environment for learning

March 16-March 20 is PEF week for Montemalaga –Please remember to support the Ed Foundation which provides funding for so many programs such as elementary PE, elementary music, Technology and Library-etc.
Vision and Hearing testing will take place in room 3, the Science Lab on March 18. All students in TK, K, 2, 5 and grade 1 boys will be tested
The next newspaper team meeting is on March 18 at 2:00 in the Library
March 20 will be the last bottle collection for Never ever give up---I know that Montemalaga students have made a difference!
March 20: TK -2 will have PM substitutes to work with Stacy Dunn and Essential Standards
March 20 is a special Student Activity planned by Student Council: Dress as your favorite adult day—There will be raffle winners announced at lunch for each grade level-
